PARTICIPANTS: 

  • The Conservatory Audition Workshop is designed for violin, viola, and cello students who are planning to pursue an undergraduate performance degree at a conservatory or music school. 

  • Participants must be between the ages of 14-18 years old. Students who wish to attend who fall outside of this age range will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

  • All participants are asked to arrive at the workshop with their audition repertoire fully-prepared. 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Submit a DVD, YouTube links, or electronic files with video recordings of two contrasting movements or works from the solo repertoire.

  • Recommendation letter from private teacher.

  • $30 application fee (payable through PayPal or check)

AUDITING THE WORKSHOP

  • We open our mock audition sessions to educators and students who would like to observe. These sessions take place each day from approximately 9:00am-12:00pm in the Champlain College Alumni Auditorium.

  • Fees for auditing the sessions are $75 for adults/$50 for students per day. A weekly discounted rate is available.
